I’m a loyal disciple of the Weis lab. After completing my Master’s thesis in the group, I started my PhD here in November 2020. I’m enthused by all things involving the nuclear pore complex, and particularly interested in understanding how the cell can assemble such a sophisticated protein complex from over 500 individual proteins. On the quest to unravel this enigmatic process, I’m constantly improving KARMA and trying to trick yeast into revealing their secrets. Apart from science, I love playing football, running, snowboarding and, despite the stiff competition, I’m also gunning for the next Weis Lab table tennis title.
