Edoardo Fatti

Edoardo did his PhD at DKFZ in Heidelberg in the laboratory of Christof Niehrs. During his studies he biochemically characterized the regulation of protein kinase activity by DEAD-box ATPases. In the latest years of his PhD he got more involved in the protein condensate field and he decided to join the Weis Lab to further investigate how DEAD-box proteins modulate their condensed state. To this end, he focuses on Dhh1, a yeast DEAD-box ATPase involved in Processing body formation, using a combination of biochemical and microscopy tools.
