In the past decade, the Institute of Biochemistry has organized a biennial symposium entitled “Joining Forces”, with the goal of enabling world-leading scientists to showcase their exciting work and to foster interdisciplinary scientific interaction within the local student and researcher community of the ETH and the University of Zurich. The 2020 “Joining Forces Symposium”, organized jointly with Prof. Martin Jinek from UZH, will take place on January 21, 2020, and will revolve around the latest concepts in the fields of Genome Stability, Genome Organisation and Genome Engineering. The scope of the meeting is to introduce the local research community to the latest developments and cutting-edge technologies in these important research fields that are highly-relevant to personalized medicine and that are thus daily gaining in importance.
